Happy July 4th!!!!

Girls Camp

I think Girls Camp should be change to "Drama Camp." This week was girls camp for our stake and Alicen went up because she is a councilor in our ward. But in the three days she was gone I got more calls and text messages about how much Drama there was with our group of girls. Thank heavens that Boys are so much easier to deal with. I could not believe the mess up there. It was anything from food rationing to wrong camps sites to walmart breaks. Yes, Walmart was within walking distance of there camp. That is roughing it I know, sitting around a camp fire and seeing McDonalds arches in the distance. I never had that oppertunity in all my years at scout camp. The girls even had Flushable toilet. FLUSHABLE!!! I remember having to get the Bug (blue) Juice to put in our port-a- pottys to help that smell of something had died in there many of years ago. Anyway, other then all the problems it sounds like everyone had a good time. I think the leaders of the girls made more "clicks" between each other then the girls did. I just think it is funny that this kind of camping can be called roughing it. Maybe for girls it is. But I still have to comment on the whole ordeal. Alicen seemed to enjoy getting to know the girls a little more and I hope it all works out. At least at the Testimony meeting they had a lot of girls get up and say how great camp was. that is a plus.

No more Moonwalk!

Its crazy to think that Michael Jackson is gone. I was really shocked to hear the news. Alicen told me on our way up to girls camp for our wards leaders night. We where actually stuck in traffic up Parley Canyon when she told me. I really did not believe her. It kind of sad to see a Pop Star die like that. I can remember when I was little watching the movies Thiller and listening to his music. He was an icon back in the day. It might be a good thing or a bad thing to see him gone. He has had a rough couple of years lately. My question is why do so many celebraties O.D. they have everything going for them and they waste it. Sad Sad

Just an Update

Nothing has really happened to really blog about. Since graduating I have just been work and enjoying some free time doing what ever. I have not been golfing, or camping or anything like that. Just doing things around the house and yard that have been abandoned for a long time. Hopefully I will figure out what to do in my life, for the rest of my life. Right now I am just enjoying not going to summer school.

Associates Grad!!!

So as of yesterday I have my Associates degree in general education. I am so excited to know that I am done with a degree of some kind. I have been working on a two years degree for the last six years. Its nice to see a light at the end of the tunnel. I was worried because I took statistics this semester and have been doing average in the class. I had one bad test that made me worry. The final was on Monday and I studied all week and weekend long to make sure I had everything down. In the test, I started to get some test stress so I was worried I would not pass. Since I just turned in my test and left I was worried for my grade. It was not until about 24 hours later I found out I had passed. I was leaving my other final when Allie texted me. I wanted to just yell out loud but the halls in the south city campus (old South High) are loud. So I didn't. I am so excited. Allie got me a teddy bear with a Balloon for a celebration. I am just happy to be done with it and know there is light at the end of the tunnel. Now I have to figure out what to do next. That could be a huge step for me.
