Nothing Better
There is nothing better then when I get home, to see my two kids at the window jumping up and down yelling "Daddy Daddy!" Then seeing them run to the front (or back) door and wait for me to come in. I have to pick them up and hold both of them for like a minute or two. Then they are done. It does me good to know that at a young age they at least like me, I know in years to come it will not be that welcoming. But for right now I am enjoying there enthusiasm as I come home. I love it.
New fan of Rugby
Over the weekend, while writing in my journal and flipping through channels. I stopped on the England station that had a rugby match just starting. Since preseason football not on TV and college not started yet, I tuned in. All I have to say is Holy Crap! I am a fan! I was really impressed with the speed of the game, the brutal hits and not much down time. It was great, I saw a guy on the All Blacks team run into an opponent, in which the All Blacks guy broke his eye socket and got a concussion, then someone else on the other team on a tackle broke his nose. There was blood gushing from his nose and parts of bone sticking out the top. It was gross, yet I was enthralled with the action taking place. The NFL has nothing on these guys, this guys make the NFL plays look like sissies. I will keep looking for more games to come but wow they have made me a fan.

Football Season
You can always tell when the football season is upon us. Here are some of the ways I have noticed it this year:
BYU- Training Camp, I have been more intune with what is going on in camp, what players are playing and which ones are getting hurt. I am also focusing in on what the UofU is doing (starting a true freshman-- crazy!!) That way I can give my bosses an ear full of trash talk. By the way only 21 days until BYU vs OK. Go Cougs!! Not to mention that we got our season tickets in the
mail today. Oh they are like holding pure gold.
Looking at new candle smells. Wishing I could find some manly smells for my office and home. Smells like grass, locker room, sweat, leather, woodchips, anything that says "hey I am a man. bring it!" Well for you men like me I have found something. A company called Hotwicks has those smells. I found leather, grass, beer (Believe it or not), carmel popcorn, Hippie smell and others. the Pigskin leather and grass are mine.
Preseason games, was excited to see my Eagles beat up on Tom Brady (hate that guy). But at last they lost by two points. Not good news. I did watch the Steelers beat the Cardinals on Thursday night. I told Alicen it was just nice to hear football talk as back ground noise. How I will miss John Maddens voice on MNF. Good news is my Eagles pick up Michael Vick! Good call on there part. Sure he just got out of prison, out of shape but give him a month or two. Wildcat offense will be crazy nuts in Philly.
Oh the season is here for the great old sport of football. What have I done with myself for the last couple of months when only Baseball has been on. Yarp! doing nothing. All you football fans, college or Pro get those arms loose and legs moving its almost time to do the wave!!

YO!! JOE!!
I finally got to go see the New G.I. Joe movie this week. My movie critique would have to be "two thumbs up!" I really liked the film. I got all excited to see it last fall when it first previewed. Alicen's work got tickets again and we were fortunate enough to get two tickets (sorry Cox's). I thought all the actors did a great job portraying the cartoon charactors. I thought Channing Tatum did a great job as Duke, as well as the girls. I am still a little skeptical with Waynes and Quid playing in there rolls. Just dont see an action hero in Waynes and the commander in Quiad, but they still acted great. The movie was a done deal though once I saw Brendon Fraiser as the trainer. What is funny just as he came on, Alicen leaned over and said "now I know you will like this movie!" Sorry I can not help that I am a Brendon Fraiser fan. Over all the movie was good, I just hope they make a couple more. I think it can handle making a series or something, at least a sequel. And now you know how I feel about the movie-- "and knowing is half the battle! Yo Joe!"
