Sonotubes

A Sonotube is a big round cardboard tube that ICS sells. They are used for making footings and concrete cylinders. But I have heard of people using them for sub woofers, cat posts, everything to do with concrete and the best was a potato cannon. Since I got to unload a truck today I figured I would blog about it. ICS carries these tubes from the sizes siz inches in diameter to sixty inches in diameter. They weight between ten pounds up to 160 pounds. I figure in the seven years (yes seven as of two days ago) I have unloaded over 5000 of these cardboard tubes. I have been able to carry on my shoulder every size up to forty eight inches, (with that only carried it 5 feet--still better then my friend Josh). The only size bigger is a sixty incher that is too round to get a good arms grip. Never tried, and most likely never will. They are not the most fun things to move but they beat cold, wet and dirty cure blankets they use in the winter.
